The Copyright Office of India vide a recent notification has communicated its decision to publish on its websites on a monthly basis the following:
• Every entry made in the register of copyrights or the particulars of any work entered under section 45 of the Copyright Act, 1957;
• Correction of every entry made under section 49 of the act; and
• Every rectification ordered under section 50.
These decisions will be published with effect from 1st January 2017. We welcome this initiative of the Copyright Office in the direction of transparency and digitization.
