The Hon’ble Supreme Court of India had previously by their order dated 27 March 2020 had extended all deadlines for legal matters since 15 March 2020 till further order. Now, in view of changing scenario with regards to COVID19 in India, the Hon’ble Court via their order dated 08 March 2021 has now decided to end absolute extension of legal deadlines.

Extension of IP Deadlines in India and continuity of work in view of spread of COVID-19 – Updates with regard to 2nd lockdown
In continuance with their efforts to curb spread of COVID-19, Government of India has further extended nationwide lockdown in India till 03 May 2020. The lockdown will continue to halt most of the activities including legal activities [but IP e-filing portals are presently active] and transportation of non-essential goods [like courier services of documentations]. Extension of IP Deadlines in India and continuity of work in view of spread of COVID-19
In the light of the global outbreak of COVID-19, a nationwide lockdown has been enforced for 21 days in India (from 25 March 2020) for precautionary purposes. This lockdown has resulted in halting most of the activities including legal activities [but IP e-filing portals are presently active] and transportation of non-essential goods [like courier services of documentations]. Relying on our IT systems, we are continuing to work and extend our services and continue to be available to assist our friends and colleagues during these uncertain times.
