A meeting of select IP professionals and practitioners was held at Intellectual Property Office, Delhi in presence of Secretary – DIPP Mr. Ramesh Abhishek, Joint Secretary Mr. Rajiv Aggarwal, Controller General Mr. O P Gupta and Sr. Joint Controller Dr. K. S. Kardam on 03 August 2018.
Mehta & Mehta Associates was represented during the meeting by Mr. Ankush Mehta.
Feedback on further improvements and streamlining of IP Offices were taken receptively and some exciting upcoming developments were revealed.
The meeting covered all facets of IP Laws and internal working of different offices including steps being taken to initiate video conferencing for trademark matters, issuance of clarification and guidelines for patent matters, upgrading e-filing portal for Designs, expediting process to make copyright board, increasing strength of personnel and more!
Present initiative by IPO has been highly appreciated by all stakeholders and we look forward to their continued growth.
