JPO/IPR Training Course for IP Protection Lawyers

Mr. Ankush Mehta (Principal Attorney) from Mehta & Mehta Associates (MehtaIP), recently successfully completed JPO/IPR Training Course for IP Protection Lawyers held in Tokyo, Japan.

The training program was organized by Japan Patent Office (JPO) from 26 November 2018 to 12 December 2018 with its operation being entrusted to Japan Institute for Promoting Invention and Innovation (JIPII) and The Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships (AOTS).

Ankush was the only attorney from India selected for Patent Group by JPO after nomination by Indian Patent Office (IPO) and Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP).

He also presented a recent case study dealing with issues of Patent Infringement, Penalties and Standard Essential Patents in India.

The program was attended by IP Protection Lawyers and other legal practitioners who deal with Intellectual Property Rights from 12 different countries and focused on wide spectrum of IP related topics in different jurisdictions.
